Scraping the surface of a hyperdiverse group—new genera and species of Ecuadorian Pselaphinae (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae), with an emphasis on the cloud forest fauna 2026

Based on existing collections and new field collections, 339 new species and 18 new genera of Pselaphinae are described from Ecuador. (Besucheteidos simbanai). This species name honors Mr. Jose Simbaña, resident manager of Yanayacu Biological Station, who assisted with the author’s visit there. By MICHAEL S. A new bot fly species of Cuterebra (Diptera: Oestridae) from Ecuador 2024
